This superb tenor is one of the finest of the last 75 years. He has a wonderful very italianate spinto-lyrico voice with a beautiful legato line from bottom to top. He is a superb musician who ALL of the current top tenors (including the 3 tenors) cannot match for musicality, interpretation and beautiful singing. All of the Nordic people can be proud of maestro Lindroos and his early passing was a tragic loss for the world of music. The Metropolitan Opera Co. was not astute enough to sign him but the rest of the world got to hear him sing. Thanks to Commendatore Torsten Brander (founder of The Beniamino Gigli Association in Finland who honored him and and CDklassisk) we are able to now hear him sing in the United States. THANK YOU!!
